Minnesota
Valley National Wildlife Refuge on
August 14, 2011.
We hear
shorebirds
begin to migrate south in July.
It makes sense because we spotted
a solitary sandpiper,
one of shorebirds on today's walk.
Solitary Sandpipers
spend
the hot summer months in
Canada or Alaska.
