It was
very foggy in Shakopee
this morning. But we joined
George and Anne for their birding walk at Louisville Swamp Unit,
Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge.
During the walk, we spotted bald eagles, cormorants, Baltimore orioles, phoebes,
a solitary sandpiper, a spotted sandpiper, male kingfishers, etc. We saw one
kingfisher
diving into water to catch a fish for the first time.

shorebirds
begin to migrate south in July.
