BTW, Kabocha is a Japanese pumpkin. Here in Minnesota, Kabocha is called "Kabocha squash", which is often available in local grocery stores. かぼちゃは、日本では、日本のパンプキンとして知られています。ここ、アメリカでは、 かぼちゃsquashとして、普通の八百屋さんで、よく、売られています。

One of our staff is saying, "I think it would be more accurate to say that a pumpkin is a type of squash rather than pumpkin=squash. Interesting information on pumpkins. I had previously thought that pumpkins and squash were two different things.
