Here is the
rock sculpture by sculptor Lei Yi Xin (Right) with his interpreter (Left). He
was invited from St. Paul's sister city, Changsha*, China. His sculpture is
carved out of Dolomite limestone quarried in Southeastern Minnesota. To create
this beautiful sculpture, he had
to wear a special heavy-duty mask to avoid
inhaling
rock dust,
which is composed of fine pieces of limestone, for many days; the
rock dust is created by cutting limestone with his diamond cutter. We do like his
stuff. The sculpture will soon be viewed at Phalen Park, St. Paul, MN. The pic was shot at St.
Paul College, St. Paul, MN, on 060630. More info on Mr. Xin, he can be reached
