a Raccoon family, mom? with her two kids, crossed the road in front of our car just after sunset. We made eye contact with them.

Robins, Owls: Crows mobbing an owl, Goldfinches, Barn Swallows, Red-eyed Vireo calls, Song Sparrow calls, a House Sparrow nestling on the nest, Canada Goose families, Mallard Duck families, Red-winged Blackbirds, an Egret, a female Wood Duck, a Grackle, a male Downy Woodpecker, a Chickadee, an Eastern Phoebe,
around 10 Painted Turtles sunning themselves on a log in a pond,
a 1+- year-old Buck with velvet-covered antlers; we may have met the young buck this past winter.
