Answer 44 - "20/20" (021803)

20/20 is also called, "twenty-twenty vision" and it’s the normal level of vision. Also, people use "20/20" in many ways.  For example, ABC has an investigative TV program called "20/20" since a "20/20" vision can see clearly.

The first 20 is the distance of the eye test, and the 2nd 20 is the distance someone with "normal" vision can read the test at. So if you are 20/100, that would mean you can read from 20 feet what a person with normal vision can read at 100 feet. If you are 20/10, you can read from 20 feet what a normal person can read at 10 feet.
