Veterans Day

アメリカは、Veterans Day を１１月１１日に祝います。この１１月１１日は、第一次世界大戦の終わりを示すArmistice Dayであるため、Veterans Day として選ばれました。Veterans Dayは、その人が、まだ、生きているか、亡くなつたにかかわらず、軍隊で働いたすべての方に敬意を表する祝日です。Veterans Dayは、公務員の人は、休みになりますが、その他の人は、普通、休みにはなりません。（See Letter 7 ）
