May Sweeps may make sense because here, in the U.S., the school year ends in May
or June, and graduates will often move for new schools and/or jobs. In addition,
most Americans also have a lot of activities to keep them busy during the summer
season. I think Japan has December (End-of-the-year) Sweeps. How about March
Sweeps for many TV series in Japan since the school year ends in March there?

アメリカのテレビの連続ドラマの最終回が、５月にあるのは、理にかなっていると思います。つまり、学校の学年末が、５月や６月にあたる事、卒業生が新しい学校に進学したり、就職のため移動する事、５月から８月の末までは、大抵のアメリカ人は、夏のいろいろなアクテｲヴィテｲ―で忙しい事などが、その理由です。確か、日本は、テレビの連続ドラマの最終回は、１２月にあったと思います。日本では、学年末は、３月ですので、テレビの連続ドラマの最終回を３月にしたらどうでしょうか？
