The 1st St. Paul Inline Marathon (040821) <

Most of the course is along the Mississippi in St. Paul and finishes at Rice
Park in Downtown St. Paul. The top two pro skaters finished the marathon in
around 1 hour 8 minutes. We heard that Randy Kelly, the St. Paul mayor, and Tim
Pawlenty, the Minnesota governor, participated in this competition: See also
Letter 137 Twin Cities Marathon. Believe it or not, to our best knowledge, for
the first time worldwide, Minnesota started the inline marathon around eight
years ago, using the same course as Grandma's Marathon <

9th Annual NORTHSHORE INLINE MARATHON <
http://www.northshoreinline.com/info/ > ,
which drew several thousands of skaters, was held on September 18, 2004. There,
the top skater finished the course in around 1 hour 2 minutes. We hear the
world record time for an inline marathon is under one hour. People say that it
is much easier to prepare for inline marathons than preparing for the ordinary
running marathons.
