* Last year, calendars called “9-11” “World Trade Center Remembrance Day” or
“Patriot Day.” It, however, looks like this year’s calendars call the
anniversary day of “9-11” “Patriot Day.”
(050908) Note from American A:
I don't remember hearing that they made 9-11 into Patriot Day**. But I think for
several years yet people will remember and won't need to have a name other than
"9-11" for that day. Once people start to forget or it becomes more emotionally
distant, I think they may start to call it Patriot Day. I suppose calendars
will call it that, though. So I think everyone on the street will say "9-11",
and calendars will say "Patriot Day." I think they will continue to have
remembrance services, but other than keeping it in their thoughts on that day I
don't think people will commemorate it much as a family or community event.
