Here is a pic of a pair of Trumpeter Swans in the nest built on the beaver lodge*. "Wow! Cool!!! We've never seen a Swan's nest before." Two Red-winged blackbirds on cattails can be viewed in this photo as well. This pic was shot in the Twin Cities area, MN.

Later we asked Craig, a naturalist, "Their heads and necks are not white in color. Are they immature?" Craig** replied to us, "No, They're adults. The color of their heads and necks comes from where they feed." "Duh, they must be adults because they're nesting."
