Gray squirrels vs. Red squirrels

Red squirrels are about two-thirds the size of gray squirrels.  People say red squirrels are meaner than gray ones. In fact, the other day we saw a red squirrel chasing away a gray squirrel from its territory.  It's amazing for us to see that these squirrels can run straight up the tree trunk at a very fast speed and can run straight down the tree trunk in the same manner. Their moves around trees look as if they were defying the laws of physics.  Also, we witnessed some time ago that squirrels can easily walk across power lines to cross the road.

Pic 4 shows a tree with two holes.  We saw a red squirrel running from a higher place and getting into a lower hole.   We're sure that the inside of the two holes are red squirrels' houses.
