Owl Prowls: A Northern hawk owl perches on a branch to probably look for a mouse.  Ummm... maybe this owl is looking at us.  "Sorry for the disturbance." The pic was shot in Pine County, MN, on January 29, 2005.  Note: Food supplies became really low in 2005, so many owls moved far south of their normal wintering range to seek food. We were fortunate to spot 4 northern hawk owls as well as 51 great gray owls on a day trip. Posted: 051201
