Here is a picture of a baby peregrine falcon at the City
Center in Minneapolis. Baby falcons are also called "eyasses." The funny white
fluff that they have when they are born with is called down feathers, and as
they get older they eventually grow the
feathers. Peregrine chicks are dependent on their parents for survival and food
until they mature at the age of two.
