July 30, 2011, we
visited Lake Rebecca Park Reserve to see the six Trumpeter
Swan cygnets (baby swans)
since we
had her
additional useful info besides
Wildlife Technician (Three
Rivers Park District),
Madeleine's note on the MOU-NET
page*. There we saw
three adult swans and a young swan. We thought
that the young swan could be a cygnet. Madeleine told us,
"Those
are probably subadults (2 or 3 year olds); the young of this year are definitely
very gray still and not quite adult size."
So we didn't spot any cygnets
during our first visit to the park. We may re-visit the park to see the cygnets.
When we talked to
Naturalist Tammy about Trumpeter Swan cygnets,
she told us that she had a chance to see three cygnets (Check out
her cygnets photos) in early July, 2011.

Swan白鳥の赤ちゃんについてのMadeleineさんの情報をMOU-NET頁で７月の終わりに見つけました。早速、Madeleineさんに連絡をとり、詳しい情報をいただきました*。僕たちが、Lake
Rebecca Park Reserveに行った時には、三羽の大人の白鳥と一羽の若い白鳥を見ました。最初、この若い白鳥が、赤ちゃんと思いましたが、Madeleineさんよると、この若い白鳥は、多分、２、３歳の白鳥だそうです。残念ながら、最初の試みでは、白鳥の赤ちゃんは、みられませんでした。僕たちの白鳥の赤ちゃんの写真は、今の所ありませんが、白鳥の赤ちゃんの写真を、NaturalistのTammyさんに、提供していただきました。Tammyさん、写真どうもありがとうございました。
