"Smokey Bear", the fire prevention mascot, appears in the parade. This photo was shot during the 2010 Minnesota State Fair Parade, State Fairgrounds, Falcon Heights, MN on August 26, 2010. Smokey Bear" (August 9, 1944 - ) was created by the U.S. Forest Service. "Smokey Bear" was named after "Smokey" Joe Martin, a New York City Fire Department hero.
