Minnesota World War II
Memorial Dedication, St. Paul, Minnesota, June 9, 2007. Here is a picture of a mortar that
was used in World War II to blow things up. Underneath the mortar is the
ammunition that is fired from the barrel. When the explosives are dropped in to
the barrel they are ignited and launched hundreds of feet until the hit
something and explode. Just look how big the ammunition is! Minnesota
