The Niña, Pinta, and Santa Maria were the three Christopher Columbus’ ships,
which came to the New World in 1492. The Niña and Pinta replica Columbus’ ships
are docked in Hudson, Wisconsin
from August 6, 2010 through August 16, 2010. According to Andy Rathbun’s article
in Pioneer Press, the Niña cost about $600,000 and they spent another $2 million
to build the Pinta. We’ve learned that this Nina appeared in the 1992 movie,
“1492:
Conquest of Paradise.”
