National Day of Prayer は、カレンダーによっては、マークされています。

全米で、いろいろなイベントが、催されます*。セントポールでも、州庁舎で、州知事も含んで、National Day of Prayer の集会が、あります。

政治家が、お祈りを薦めるのは、アメリカらしいですね。日本では、多分、考えられないと思います。少数でしょうが、ある人たち、たとえば、www.atheists.org (無神論: atheists ）のサイトには、この日に、疑問をいだいている記事が述べられています**。実際、有名な前ミネソタ州知事、Ventura氏（元プロレスラー、俳優）は、彼が、知事の時（全任期中かどうかは知りません）、この日を州の行事とせず、彼の興味ある私見を記しています**。僕の個人の意見としては、こんな日、National Day of Prayer も、あってもいいような気もします（もちろん、政治と宗教との利害関係ではなく）。
