"What do
Americans think of when 'July' is mentioned"
Julyと聞けば、アメリカ人は、何を思うのでしょうか?
American T's view:
Independence Day/4th of July with picnics, parades, and fireworks
Going to the lake/cabin
I think of July as the heart of summer, but maybe that is just my view.
Sweet corn
at end of month, I believe.
Running through the sprinkler (fire hydrants in big cities on really hot days)
Lots of bug sounds at night

American F's view:
July: Hot, July 4th, my anniversary, usual month for vacationing, workplace
summer outing.

American M’s view 060531:
July is the middle month in all American kid’s summers. Most people spend as
much time as possible outside, because it is the nicest month of the summer.
Towards the end of July in Minnesota it starts to get very humid and very hot.
The end of July and beginning of August are the hottest times of the year in
Minnesota, and they are also the busiest times out on the lake for boating and
fishing. Also of importance is Independence Day in America on July 4th. It is a
national holiday celebrating the foundation of the United States. People all
over launch off fireworks and there are many parties and family get-togethers.
July is one of the nicest times of the year.
