March (New!:
Daylight Saving Time Begins,
March Madness Final Four, St. Patrick’s Day, Spring Break, Open House of new homes, MLB
Spring Training)
In March, usually there are no more sub-zero (F) temperatures in
Minnesota. Spring is
just around the corner for southern states while for northern states like
Minnesota, spring arrives in May. March is not as cold as December, January and
February although we usually have a lot of wet snow in March. Good news is that
the sun gets higher and the days get longer even in northern states.
Late Feb. through March: It’s Maple Syrup time!
Letter 42 Maple sap harvesting season begins.
This means ”It’s almost spring!”
New! Beginning in 2007, most of the
United States begin Daylight Saving Time (or Daylight
Savings Time) at
2:00 a.m.
on the second Sunday in March and revert to standard time on the first
Sunday in November.
